WHAT'S MY DAILY VITALITY PRACTICE?

The most important part to integrating a new habit of vital health and wellness is staying consistent while starting small.  Yes, start SMALL - this coming from an ER doc who's completed 15 Ironman Triathlons and I don't know how many marathons.  It's NOT about setting that big lofty New Year's resolution & dropping it days or a couple weeks in.

 

(Tho I've done that too!)

While I've listed the specific doTERRA products I use every day below, I'm also sharing those key distinctions and practices that keep me healthier, younger, and stronger than ever.  What most people call aging is really just accumulated inflammation that wears down our cells and DNA over time.  The less inflammation, the more supportive nutrients, and healthy environment for our cells and body, the longer the body resonates in young vibrance and vigor!  I know because I'm living it daily.  I personally know and have helped inspire hundreds of people living this way too.  It's not rocket science, but it does take a bit of personal inspiration and investment.  With all the energy, money, time, and worry most people put into sick-care, these practices I enjoy are the best value I've found.  Period.

Wake Up Rejuvinated

~5am

Rarely does my alarm go off cuz I usually wake up 2-3 minutes before it goes off.  Not sure I know how to teach that, but if it starts happening to you following this please let me know!

  • Drink 30 ounces of room-temperature filtered water

  • Take my dōTERRA supplements (details below)

  • Morning shilajit 

  • 5 Minutes setting daily intentions, breathing exercises

Energize and Fuel

~5:15am

  • Daily Meditation Practice 20-60 minutes

  • Exercise either cardio or strength focused 30-60 minutes

  • ​Morning Smoothie​

    • Ice, Unsweetened Almond Milk,  ~2%Milk, handful of spinach (blend first in Vitamix)

    • Add 1/2 frozen banana, organic plant based protein powder, MCT powder, peanut butter

    • Optional (choose one): chia seeds, cacao powder, matcha powder 

Morning Refresh

~6:30

  • Play some music or listen to Audible book to get my brain flowin

  • Quick shower ending in ending with ~1 minute super cold to energize my metabolism

  • Never use a toothpaste with fluoride, never use deodorant with Aluminum​

  • I do not use any caffeine (and very rarely drink alcohol)​

Crank Out an Epic Day

7:00am

  • Whatever the day presents, I hit it with intention and vision.  If I'm wasting time mindlessly flipping through social media or watching news headlines, I know my WHY is not clear.

  • Every 60 minutes I take at least 5 minute power break

    • Options are Chi-Gong, squats​/push-ups, music, walk outside, ultra-quick meditation

  • I make sure I'm drinking plenty of water​

  • If using screen, I'm wearing blue-light blocking glasses to minimize fatigue

  • I keep exposure to EMFs to a minimum

  • I choose which dōTERRA oils to diffuse based on how I want to feel

Guidelines for Meals

Lunch & Dinner

  • I don't eat a real meal until ~1pm on average.

  • Avoiding excess carbs, staying mostly Alkaline on that Acid-Alkaline food chart

  • Any snacks are vegetables, nuts, perhaps fruit (careful not to do too much fruit)

  • I use Purple Carrot for a meal prep delivery service.  It's vegan (I'm not vegan) but the quality and meals are imo well worth the investment.  3 super healthy, planned meals/week

  • If you do drink caffeine, consider trying some high quality tea (I love Adagio Tea), and never take in caffeine after about 2pm.  Even if you don't notice, it will affect sleep depth, rhythms.

Epic Performers Require Epic Rest

Evening/Night

  • I take sleep seriously.  Keep TVs/screens out of the bedroom (I actually don't even own a TV)

  • Set night-shift mode on all electronics (I have it set 3pm-9am)

    • Blue-light kills melatonin in your brain and jacks up sleep​

  • Keep room cool (use covers if needed).  I use a device called Ooler to chill my bed as I sleep HOT​

  • Evening dōTERRA supplements (see below) including Adaptiv, Serenity.

  • I use a ultra high quality air purifier in my bedroom called Breathe Smart to keep more particles out of my indoor air.

  • I often use a speaker to play loud white-noise - my sleep quality always goes up with this

  • I track my sleep quality with an Oura Ring, via a technology called heart-rate-variability

  • Very important to fully black out your sleep room - I use a full black out shade

  • I average 7 hours of sleep per night and consistently feel rested and energized
